Spring Colour from Paris

We are just back from Paris, and from Maison & Objet. Our heads are full of ideas from the fresh new colour trends we have seen.

There are many emerging interior colour trends for 2015, and this is one of the stongest. Pastels have been around for a few seasons, and it appears they are here to stay.

This image via Remodelista – soft dusty pink can be used everywhere. Paint, furniture and soft furnishings.

Celebrating 60 years of the Arne Jacobson Series 7 chair Republic of Fritz Hansen have launched a limited edition chair in the colours of the moment. Navy blue and dusky pink.

The Series 7 is not the only chair to be popular in dusky pink, the Muuto NERD chair has been around for some time. Available in a rainbow of colours, the pink is the hit colour to date.  Muuto use this  pink across their collection – see it here. Image via French Fancy

Pink can be used to great effect with a muted palette of soft greys. The colour beautifully compliments natural wood for a soft chic look.

We also spotted lots o of navy blue in Paris.  Whilst navy goes well with pink it can be boldly used on its own – as Faye Toogood has done here.  The full house tour is on the NY Times site.

We couldn’t put together a group of inspiring pastel images without mentioning Amanda Senneby. We’ve been admiring the Stockholm based illustrators mixing of pastel and bright tones for some time now.

For all the colours we like, interior inspiration and of course interesting staircase ideas – together in one place see Roger Oates on Pinterest
