Responsibility
Our story has evolved over our 35-year history, but we have always made a conscious choice to provide the highest level of quality and service, honouring good design, craftsmanship, and fine materials while delivering this in an environmentally conscious way.
Conscious Design
Sustainability is integral
From the very conception of an idea. We use the principles of good design to guide and inform our choices throughout every process. This means contemplating the environmental implications of our materials, the craftspeople involved, the finishing process, logistics and packaging (and everything else in between) with as much importance as the designs themselves.
Material Provenance
Committed to British wool
Since 2023 we have been progressing towards using 100% British wool throughout our production. We are phasing out our current stock of British blend wool comprising of 51% British and 49% New Zealand wool.
We work alongside the Woolkeepers to ensure the wool we use comes from a fair and united supply chain that provides sourcing integrity, pays a fair price for wool, communicates farm provenance and develops positive animal welfare.
Made in the UK
British production
Our wool is grown in the UK, spun and dyed in Yorkshire and woven or hand-tufted in Devon. Sewing and hand finishing take place in both Herefordshire and Devon.
The environmental benefits of a UK based production are huge. Not only is the carbon footprint of our product dramatically reduced, by producing our goods ourselves, we have control over how they are made, meaning we can ensure quality and high standards in every area. Home Accessories are hand-made in small batches by craftspeople around the UK.
Responsible Manufacturing
Made to Order
We operate largely on a made-to-order basis. We don’t make more than we need to reduce the environmental impact, minimising waste by ensuring everything we weave and hand-tuft is wanted and required.
Growing for the Future
Preserving our Environment
Nestled in the heart of Eastnor within an important conservation area and surrounded by nature, we partnered with the Colwall Orchard Group in 2019 to revive our cherished Eastnor Orchard. Planted in a traditional set-up, we chose to grow declining varieties of heritage and local fruit trees as part of our commitment to protect these species for future generations.
In 2025, we are expanding our efforts by planning a wildflower meadow to enrich the orchard with even more flora and fauna. This addition aims to attract bees, insects, and birdlife, helping biodiversity thrive in this vital green space.
