General Advice
Our hand tufted products are suitable for domestic and commercial settings.Upon Arrival
Please unpack and lay it out flat as soon as possible, this will allow the natural fibres in the pile and backing to relax and flatten.Vacuuming
We recommend vacuuming with a suction vacuum cleaner at least once a week to remove surface dirt. This will extend the life and maintain its appearance. Do not use a beater bar vacuum cleaner on loop pile rugs and runners as this can cause damage to the fibres. Beater bars can be used on short pile rugs and runners occasionally to help lift flattened pile. Areas of long pile need to be treated with greater care and should be shaken or beaten in the traditional way to dislodge dirt.Spillages

New hand tufted rugs will initially have some fibre loss or ‘shedding’, it does not affect the appearance or quality and after vacuuming in the first few weeks, should lessen and then cease.Sprouting can happen occasionally where individual tufts appear to stand out above the rest of the rug. These should be snipped with scissor, not pulled out.

Pile flattening can affect the reflection of light and therefore the appearance of colour. Light colours may brighten, and darker colours may fade especially when in contact with direct natural sunlight.Pressure Marks
We recommend using furniture cups to protect hand tufted rugs and runners from pressure marks. -
