Hallway Runners
Contemporary flatweave hallway runners made using 100% wool. Hand-finished by a skilled team in our Herefordshire workshop.
Arta
A re-working of a weaver’s favourite ‘Orkney (c.1994)’, traditionally designed to use up leftover yarn. A wide spectrum of multicolour in both vivid and pastel tones. Named after the multi-faceted, kaleidoscopic colours found in precious stones.
Chelsea
A re-emergence of historical design ‘Tribal’ originally released in 1997, Chelsea sees a deep navy blue lifted by glowing ochre and rust. A design rich in pattern and contrast, where alternating herringbone and rib sections are edged with a well-proportioned rib border.
Cranborne
Named after a quiet corner of Southwest England and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cranborne is a new addition to the Roger Oates Design portfolio, and is home to one of the Woolkeepers farms. A complex multi-striped design that explores tonal colour within alternating rib and herringbone weaves.
Dartmouth
Olive and Forest green meet cool modern neutrals in Dartmouth, where a punctuating stripe of gold breathes life into an evenly proportioned rib and herringbone repeating stripe pattern. Dartmouth has all the elements of a classic Roger Oates stripe – carefully balancing heritage pattern with contemporary colour.
Kahlo
The starting point for A Journey In Colour, this bold ‘strike-through’ pattern with its structural rib background, elevates a vividly coloured stripe of diamonds.
Malton
Subtle herringbone and rib bands create an elegant repeating stripe in this sophisticated and striking runner.
Mila
From A Journey In Colour collection, Mila is an understated and uplifting border design cleverly combining multiple shades of the same colour to create a nuanced and highly textured design.
Milan
Taking inspiration from Murano glass, Milan features a vibrant layering of distinct speckled colour and a double herringbone structure interlocking two patterns into one design. The result is a subtle complexity of pattern, colour and structure which has both delicacy and depth.
Morella
A statement making design introducing a new diamond stripe amongst herringbone and rib sections. A design with energy and impact where patterns fuse together, framed by a striking border.
Riga
Riga, meaning ‘stripe’ - is a masterclass in proportion and balance. Clean, graphic lines converge from opposing sides, blending light and dark in a composition that is both asymmetrical and perfectly balanced.
Sgraffito
Sgraffito, meaning ‘scratched though’ is a new structure of flatweave which evokes a natural texture. A dynamic design where contrasting colours twist through the weave structure, creating a surface that constantly shifts and evolves. The changing detail of the organic texture is framed by a contemporary herringbone border.
Sudbury
An iconic Roger Oates design from 1992 that has been a constant source of inspiration. A repeating pattern that uses a mixture of herringbone and rib weave to create bold textured stripes.
Swanson
An understated and elegant classic, Swanson offers a relaxed versatility where a quiet herringbone ground elevates striking central bands and a complementary tonal border.
Venice
The namesake of the collection, Venice is a playful expression of the Venetian tones which inspired our original flatweave collection over 35 years ago. Contrasting waves of colour collide from edge to edge, creating delicate and mesmerising stripes as they thread through each other.
Wellington
A delicate pattern repeat of alternating lace-like rib sections and narrow herringbone stripes in soft clover pink and slate and dove grey. Brighter pinstripes lift the design, creating interest when seamed together as rugs or wall to wall installations.
