A contemporary rug made using 100% wool Roger Oates flatweave in Ashby Shale. A classic herringbone ground elevates slate grey pinstripes and subtle ribbed stripes, creating a sophisticated and timeless design. Our flatweave rugs are hand sewn by a skilled team in our Herefordshire workshop.

VENETIAN FLATWEAVE
A Note on Rug Finishing
The edges of Venetian Flatweave rugs and runners are finished with either a Linen Tape or a False Selvedge. A Linen Tape can frame a pattern and a False Selvedge can provide a clean contemporary look.
Depending on design preference and layout, rugs and runners can be edged on either two ends or all four sides.
Kobe Jade and Ashby Silver finished with Linen Tape. Shetland Sudbury Light Grey finished with a False Selvedge.

Linen Tape
Woven using 100% Linen, our tapes are available in both 76mm and 120mm widths in colours specially dyed to complement our Venetian Flatweave.
We develop our flatweave with an ethos firmly rooted in heritage and craftsmanship, using experimentation in colour, pattern and texture to maintain a contemporary edge.
