We have often said our flatweave is more akin to fabric than it is to ‘carpet’. It therefore seemed only natural to use it in new ways, as you would a thick upholstery material.

After experimenting with upholstered furniture in the early 2000’s using our original conventional fabric range, we knew we wanted to offer a simple functional piece, using our less-conventional flatweave as the material. We turned to a skilled upholsterer close to our studios in Herefordshire to create our Flatweave Benches. Staying true to the Roger Oates ethos of using honest quality materials, each bench is finished with finely handcrafted solid oak legs.
