The New Classics Collection
New Classics is a traceable collection using 100% British Wool exclusively sourced through The Woolkeepers®. Introducing fourteen new designs to the Roger Oates portfolio, the collection highlights the importance of traceability.
Woolkeepers® are a forward thinking initiative with a sustainable, ethical and social responsibility to sheep farming. British sheep farmers from all over the country are united by Woolkeepers® who safeguard a traceable supply chain of British Wool. Provided with an evolutionary framework, the farms involved promote environmental and social change which results in the best quality wool.
With their help, we have been able to develop a new yarn that contains solely British Wool. And even better, we are helping wool production become fairer and stronger for a more sustainable future.
The New Classics Collection includes new additions to existing designs Sudbury and Swanson, as well as a brand new multi-stripe design, Cranborne.
Swanson
An understated and elegant classic, and a design that was calling out to us to be reinvented, we introduce five new colourways to the Swanson family. With its quiet herringbone ground elevating striking central bands and a complementary tonal border, Swanson offers a relaxed versatility and works beautifully as both runner and rug.
Sudbury
An iconic Roger Oates design from 1992 that has been a constant source of inspiration. The New Classics collection sees Sudbury transformed into five new colourways, with its recognisable ribbed stripes introducing a blend of bold and calming tones from warm ochre and soft greys to deep midnight blues.
Sudbury is available in new colourways Birch, Dark Stone, Lichen, Maple and Marine.
Cranborne
Named after a quiet corner of Southwest England and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cranborne is a new addition to the Roger Oates Design portfolio and home to one of the Woolkeepers farms. Available in four colourways, this complex multi-striped design explores symphonies of tonal colour within alternating rib and herringbone weaves.
