A Journey In Colour
A journey in colour, taken together. A fantasy of travel through colour escapism with a focus on structure and composition, the culmination of a two year adventure uniting two designers. This collaboration explores global representations of colour as a form of expression, reimagining traditional weaving and embroidery techniques to find a shared creative identity, steeped in heritage.
New Classics: The Woolkeepers Collection
Telling the story of wool from fleece to flatweave. New Classics is a traceable collection using 100% British Wool exclusively sourced through The Woolkeepers®. Introducing fourteen new designs to the Roger Oates portfolio, the collection highlights the importance of traceability, providing a more environmentally sustainable framework with a fairer way of doing business.
Rivers Collection
Named after meandering waterways found across southern England. The linear stripes and gentle colour tones of Dart, Isis and Avon were inspired by the natural landscapes created by and surrounding these great rivers.
The Anniversary Collection
The Anniversary Collection sees designs from the past three decades re-imagined alongside brand-new additions; all inspired and influenced by our rich archives in celebration of our 30th year.
The Borders Collection
Developed by closely studying our current and archive collections and celebrates the versatility of how a border pattern can be used alone or as part of a scheme. Each of the new designs were carefully created to work well as single width runners, but will transform when seamed together into larger pieces for rugs and wall to wall areas.
The Eastern Collection
Looking Eastwards the inspiration for this collection began with a 14th century Japanese textile technique giving texture to all over stripe ‘Kasuri’. Colours of exotic lanterns, springtime blossom, and elegant Jade feed into Kobe a ‘tweed’ design of fine lines and it’s complementary ‘Kyoto’, a big theatrical non-symmetrical stripe.
The Gallery Collection
Art inspired Design. The Gallery Collection draws on the quality and breadth of recent London exhibitions. From geometric drawing to vivid colours the shows have been a symphony of light, colour and pattern, a masterclass in balance and proportion.
The London Collection
In a palette of classic colours, designs are named after historic London telephone districts. They are quintessentially British, celebrating the unmistakable handwriting of texture and stripe that is Roger Oates.
The Shetland Collection
An eco range of classic flatweaves using real Shetland wool. Woven in six natural un-dyed shades ranging from cream to black. The perfect natural palette, Roger Oates timeless style. The Broadcloth designs contain a thin stripe of dyed Shetland yarn.
